LANY Concert In Jakarta

(8/14/2019) LANY held a concert at Indoor Tennis Senayan, Jakarta.


First of all, Let's get to know LANY!!


LANY ; stylized in all caps, an acronim for "Los Angeles New York" is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, formed in 2014. The band consists of  Paul Jason Klein, Charles Leile "les" Priest, and Jake Clifford Goss.

Initially, Jake and Les Priest were old friends on the WRLDS music project. Until March 2014, they met Paul and formed LANY.

 They then uploaded Hot Lights and Walk Away to SoundCloud, participated in the Acronymns mini album that same year, and gave birth to a hit song titled ILYSB. This song made the name LANY lifted, reaching popularity.

 This indie pop band was immediately offered to become a band supporting the concert of famous musicians such as Troye Sivan, Ellie Goulding and Halsey. In December 2015, LANY signed a contract with the music label Polydor Records and held a world tour in 2016, with 117 concerts in 12 countries.

 In 2017, LANY also opened seven John Mayer concerts in the United States and Canada. In between trips, they released their debut album LANY on June 30, followed by a world tour, including Indonesia.

 Last year, LANY released their second album, Malibu Nights. This album was made when Klein suffered because of heartbreak. However, the band, famous for its lighting and stage technology, packed the sad story into energy full of hope and excitement on stage.

 In 2019, the band, known for their love songs and broken hearts, will held a world tour  that including Indonesia again. Unfortunately, this 3rd visit didn't end sweet like two previous concerts.

What's wrong?


 LANY was scheduled to entertain fans on August 13 and 14 at 19:00 West Indonesia Time at the Tennis Indoor Senayan. However, the first day concert was canceled due to technical problems.

 The concert promoter, Vizion Vibe, said the delay was due to power problems that were not safe to hold a concert. Therefore, the program on August 13 was postponed until August 14. On Wednesday (8/14), LANY is scheduled to hold concerts twice a day, at 18:00 and 22.00 West Indonesia Time.

 However, the problem doesn't stop there. Iqbaal Ramadhan expressed his disappointment after he and the band Svmmerdose canceled their appearance as LANY's opening concert.

 I don't know the fault cause of Concert Promoter or LANY's manager. I wouldn't blame anyone in this incident. I still love their songs. Hope they'll come to Indonesia again with sweet memories.
